As we were

I think the worst part of all is that

You loved me the best you could and

I received it the best I knew how and

That is why we never worked out.

Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch

We returned to the classroom
after a field trip, and drew
pictures of something we found
interesting.  I loved the pumpkins
scattered throughout the hillside.
The white ones were beautiful,
but I still like the “yellow orange”
ones.  They make the best
Jack-O-Lanterns.  Missy Johnson
drew a whole field of pumpkins.
Then she took a black crayon
and scribbled all over her paper.
Who is she mad at today?

Fierce Love

Taking care of myself doesnt come naturally.
Cutting ties and removing myself from the situations I know will hurt me.

Its hard for me to deny forgivness.
Even to those who least deserve it.

You call me weak, but I see myself differntly.

Made brave by the way the world has treated me.

I have let go of those who have hurt me.
But I continue to love them fiercely.

Protecting myself isnt easy.
But neither is loosing myself to heartbreak.
