day drink haiku
she hates it when he
drinks vodka on ice at three
sharp twist of lemon
No matter what emotion I may be feeling,
Be it anger,
Sadness,
Jealousy,
Or envy,
I’m immediately filled with nothing but joy,
Whenever I see the little flicking of fireflies,
Their little lanterns illuminating the trees,
Like fairy lights on someone’s deck,
They always make me happy,
For both their beauty,
And the fond memories they conjure
There once was an angel
On the right side of God
A ruler of heaven
Whom everyone awed
A vision of ecstasy
For many years it remained this way
He was a vision of truth, of hope
Until one unspeakable day
Some ask what he did
He decided to let the darkness in
Which had never been done before
For it was considered an unspeakable sin
As punishment
His wings were cut off
Feather by feather
Until all that was left was a little scoff
His golden halo he wore with pride
Was split into two
And out from his head sprung two horns
That had a blackened hue
Then he was pushed from the gates of Heaven
Falling down to God’s creation
Burning up as he fell
Causing earth’s damnation
He fell straight through earth’s core
And out of earth again
Until he finally stopped
When god said “amen”
There he lay
Burnt to the bone
In his kingdom made of fire
All alone
Now some may ask was what he did so bad
The answer is up in the air
The truth is he let the darkness consume him
And that is the purest form of scare
