Too Much, Too Little
four years ago
a 3-year-old Syrian boy
his lifeless body dressed
in red and blue, palms up,
lay face down on the shores
of the Mediterranean
hours ago
a Salvadoran father and 23-month-old daughter
her tiny right arm draped over his shoulders
lie face down in murky waters
of the Rio Grande
tonight
at Democratic Presidential Debate viewing parties
from LA to DC to sports bars in TriBeCa
seating is first-come-first-served
the candidates rehearse
their responses

Good one!
What an apt poem. The title balances the weight of these images in a way that speaks truth
Oh my, dynamite ending delivers the punch
And? Not for you to answere, for they will not…
Wow.
