Is it ok
tomorrow
if I come to your place,
so you can explain
to me
better please?
I will put on a mask,
wash my hands
and everything.
You can spray me with that
disinfectant
if you want to.
I’d like to ask if my friend
could come with me–
the girl you usually see
around me?
She is from Serbia.
We’ve been going through
this situation together
since the beginning.
We just have each other.
I am scared to ask you.
Let me know, please!

I like how you capture what the world has become.
Lack of connections and need for connections.
Sanitizing now is like removing shoes at the door before.
Timid start with a power packed ending.
Captures so much of our current time
Tony, thanks for your insightful reply.
K. Bruce Florence, the messages came through so quickly that I had so time to respond. It showed me how even our communication has changed during this time.
Thanks, Pat Owens, for reading. I’m still trying to figure out how to read all the poetry here.
