Gold
When I see you
I see you
limned in gold,
sunset cascading around you
a crown,
a veil.
Some things in this world
must not be touched
and that gold
bites,
tiny singeing fingers
when I reach.
When I see you
I see you in gold
but I do not squint,
do not look away.
Let it burn,
I think.
Let it all burn.

Lovely! I like the imagery of the sunset, veil, and crown.
love the impressionistic nature of this
