Water
A man named Bob told me
“water made man
to carry it uphill”
I thought it was funny.
I wrote it down.
In the afternoon,
I stand knee deep
in the creek
and cup my hands.
I carry it up the bank
and watch it weave
its way down.
In the breaths that follow
I say
“your welcome”

I just want to sit with this one, I love it so much. Very serene.
