Citrus Smile
Blood orange
pulp filigrees
my teeth, drying
kelp unfurling
onto shores. Crisp
peel ruts against
my gums, spraying
a stinging mist
of citrus.

Every word in this poem does a lot of work. This description is just awesome, and concise.
That’s so kind–thank you!
Haunting images, refreshing economy, quiet power.
