Shallow Vein
It rides along the oval of the neck –
not enlarged, but wide enough
to freely let through
blue skies and green grass,
followed by the breathing of beautiful babies
and blood cloths of eternity.
This shallow vein –
the only jewelry
worthy of you.

Powerful poem! Thanks for sharing through the gift of translation.
I love the alliteration in “breathing of beautiful babies.”
Gorgeous translation, Katya!
Beautiful. Thank you, Katerina, for bringing us these translations!
Lovely
“the only jewelry worthy of you” — Such a sensual line.
shallow… / jewelry — love the sounds.
