June Itself
White June light
Lawnmower song
A choral competition.
Fierce Lawnmower One
Masks mild Lawnmower Two
And itsy mousy Lawnmower Three
New music, freed from rhythm, fortissimo.

and me with only hedge clippers…
I borrow the sounds, in the best way of thinking of it. We have plants and vines, no grass or mower. One goodness of your clippers (I’m assuming not powered ones) is that their scrunch and snip won’t fill your neighbors’ Sunday soundscapes.
I hear the cacophony!
That would have been a good word to include in the poem.
the great american past time
grass
after we spray for dandelions
we put the combustible cut to it
bravo for not having any
grass that is!
