Vermilion
Sweaty Palms
Illusive Pawns
Visit from the
Vermilion Voman
On the Neck
She tempts the touch
In my hand
Afraid I crushed
Fat Thumbs *
Silent she sits
Broken wing
Snapped Shut Sleek Elytra
My eyes focus
Her feet kick
Relief
I set her down
On a
Magazine
In the sitting room
An Om on our Earth
Tiny
Delicate
& Dainty
Her meaning reassures me
Lady luck
Plucked into my present
“Who’s to say?”
God isn’t
Waiting
Watching
Enter
Acting
The Two of Us
Confused
In this Rigid World
AC
Cools
The Temper
Meant
Didn’t
Mean
Didn’t
Mean
To
Be
An
Accidentally
Enemy.
When my neck
Is where she
Found footing
In
Her
Present
Is where I found
CALM.
People watching the onorthodox man
Calmly sitting with a lady bug
In
the
Interim.

I really enjoyed reading this. I really liked the way you described the movements and the emotions. I especially liked the lines “AC cools the Temer Meant…”
That’s really good! I enjoyed it! Great title. I assumed vampires and love to be thwarted in that. Also wondering about the other phrases is fun, too. Are we the people watching? Makes me feel like I saw something I wasn’t supposed to.
