Bent, Not Broken
The palm tree
outside my hotel room
patio leans to the left.
Some hurricane tried to push
it down, but it didn’t fall.
Instead,
it
grew
sideways.
No, it does not
stand tall, but
nonetheless
it does stand
unbroken.

Masterful. Shape and message team up to deliver a perfectly inspirational poem. Thank you for writing this!
Thank you so much! It was a struggle making the format work on my phone, so I’m happy to hear my work was appreciated. Thank you for reading it!🙂
Yes! This really works.
Well worth the effort to post and done very well.
Thank you!
You’re very welcome! I have fought with the same issue in previous years, but it’s so rewarding when it all comes together. I’ll always praise specific formatting here.
Oh, it is! Thank you again!
Very nicely done!
Thank you!
I love the structure you used! The palm tree being unbroken yet not perfect is wonderful and I love how the poem resembles the shape of a palm tree!
Thank you so much, Emily!🤗
