Do You Know How This View-Master Works?
we each spin
stereo images,
a world
around us carved
thrice ,
once each
dimension,
circling like clocks
whose ticks
pass the time
in this
infinite dust
until we burn
universal truths
like fireflies
after rain

This one deserved a reread. Small but mighty!
I had forgotten about the view-master. It brings me back to my days at Montessori and it ties in so nicely as a metaphor what we each see with every click and accompanying image and the things we tell each other about the same things we saw.
Each true in its own way, usually overlapping some shared truth.
I really enjoyed this poem.
