Laying in the Scatter
Words and phrases
jotted on little papers
ripped off envelope flaps
corners of magazines
and store receipt backs
Scribblings land everywhere throughout the day
Like molted feathers resting where they may
And when the window opened
they all flew with the breeze
like hellish moving bees
airborne midair rearranging
relationships quick-changing
a short soar
to the floor
No rhyme or reason entered the matter
Though I found a poem laying in the scatter

Your first stanza describes my coffee table — maybe I should open a window! Lovely poem.
Thank you so much for you comment! Yes–of course open a window!! 🙂
Wonderful.
Made me think of the goddess Oya who sweeps her floors with the wind.
Absolutely wonderful poem.

This is very nicely done, Ann. I like the images, the sense of movement and the stanza breaks, too!

Nature arranged (or re-arranged) things for you! The third stanza almost looks like a mini tornado! Wonderful poem.
I appreciate your comments so much and for saying that stanza was like a mini tornado..I like that. Many thanks!
Such motion and blurr in the midst of a swirl ~ love the oneness with allowing creative expression to naturally unfold . . . little bits here, little bits there, yes, these arrangements i enjoy the very most, in fact the mostest of most!
