the storyteller
you’re dying
I need to rush to you so I can revel in every story you’ve never told me
and If I got there yesterday
there still wouldn’t be enough time to document the whole anthology
you’re dying
I understand that you have to go
If I get to see you on the other side
can we pick up where we left off
we’ll keep sharing anecdotes as ghosts

Dying is the one universal follow-up to living and your poem help capture the journey. Nice writing, Morgan.
