Rocks and the internet
This morning I skipped a rock
Across the pond to you
It was a large pond
A sea, infact.
It would have to cross land
To reach you, too
Spain, Portugal and a few miles
Inland to Atlanta
Across a time zone or six
A well traveled,
symbolic stone
But I like the idea
That you’re only a stone’s throw away
just across a pond…
Anyway, I’ll call you in a few.
God bless rocks
and the internet

Great metaphor, enjoyed your poem.
Thank you, John!
The internet really does make the world both larger and smaller at the same time.
“Anyway, I’ll call you in a few.”
