pride on HRT
skin thrumming as acceptance washes over the body,
vibrating with notes of approval and unconditionality.
feeling intertwined with the universal everything
and the contentedness with nothing.
seeking, reaching, and finding peace within—
this pride feels different.
this pride feels different.

This poem does a very good job at describing something that people in completely different walks of life, like me, will not fully experience, in turn allowing us to more fully celebrate with you. Thank you so much for sharing this poem.
As a response to your poem’s last line, it certainly does. It would naturally do so anywhere you travel, even under more peaceful conditions, but certainly in this decade it’s more important than ever.
This poem is such an active one! words like “thrumming”, “vibrating”, “seeking” etc, these help make the poem feel alive, and give the sense to the reader that this poem is about “feeling” in your body. You could also use them to set a mood by creating a rhythm, I did think that maybe it could be extended, to create a space between the “discontent” in the fourth line and the “finding peace” in the fifth line, take us on a journey!
P.S. Have a happy, safe, fun Pride! * Stay hydrated! *
