Dispatch from the Tiny Western Town KS is Visiting
Today KS walked to the convenience store to get a treat – she had a craving for spicy peanuts! She walked in between the isles, picked up a pack when she noticed the salted roasted pumpkin seeds next to the peanuts and decided to double down. She saw the mini M&M but was able to exercise restraint and walked up to the cash register to pay. There, on the checkout counter was a handwritten note: “Sorry, we are closed.”
Stymied, KS put back her treats and left the store. She started walking back to her Airbnb, when she made a sharp turn and set off to the next best thing – “Fatty’s Pizza,” where she got a gluten free Margueritta but ate only half. In any case, nothing too special or exciting, but that’s what happened today in KS’s life.

Those spicy peanuts will haunt you. Just saying.
Truth!
I adore this little glimpse into your daily life. Hopefully the next place will be able to give you those peanuts!
I hope so!
Fatty’s PIzza … it’s all in the name.
When life denies you peanuts, eat half of a pizza. Words to live by.
I don’t know if I could have exercised the restraint!
So much like…but that’s what happened. And even if not significant to some—it is these moments that often string together our lives! And, how perfect for a poem—“fatty’s pizza”!
Now I crave spicy peanuts!
