5 Cinquains
Familiar Face
What dust
gathers sad shape
rises in ghostly form
every lonely morning… sister,
that you?
* * * * *
Irritant
Is it
my demeanor
that so much bothers you,
my brash, cavalier attitude?
Tough beans.
* * * * *
Coming Soon
We odds,
weirdos, the strange,
are allowed to be free
despite what the powers believe.
Rise up.
* * * * *
Matter of Time
The cat
here knows nature
better than you or I
leave it to her to find the mouse.
Relax.
* * * * *
AutoPilot for your Love
I think
I’m losing it
when I’m in your orbit
too many Gs, lose pitch and yaw,
bail out.

Your poems,
Are so vivid,
Written descriptively.
I truly enjoyed your cinquains.
Great job!
Great job to you, too Keez!
My favorite is the second one. Tough beans! 🙂
I came here to say the same thing haha
Me too
Heck yeah!
Gotta love it-
your way with words,
and damn, what fun humor.
More, please!!!

These are fun! My favorite is #4
Oh, you’ve inspired me Bill, I want to write cinquian poems now!
Love these! I also loved the phrase, “tough beans,” and laughed out loud. I could hear you reciting these. All the last lines are perfect.
(And, luckily, I’ve already played around with this form!)
Like a peek at Rembrandt’s sketch book 😀
Love ‘tough beans’ and my favorite is the first one.
Each reflects your gift of range–packing whole worlds into these tiny containers.
Damn, Bill! I love how you’re killing these fixed forms the month. The first of the five cinquains is the most of haunting.
