prowling dark streets
startled by the
sudden moon
she sees her own death
in the camera lens

I’ve always been fascinated by the story of Cassandra, who was cursed to see the future with no one believing her predictions. Is this the reference you were meaning? I’m also really interested in the #2. It’s the mark of a great poem that it makes people want to know more. Well done.
Thanks, so much.
Yes, it’s a reference to Cassandra, the seer. Cassandra #1 is published in Ribbons Journal of Tanka Society of America. Similar theme.
Very mysterious poem. Love it!
Ohhh, I love how curious this poem makes me feel. Well done!
Ominous and beautiful
