A broken clock is right twice a day; and I’m always right if I let enough time pass.
I had a therapist, years ago, years
before I learned what it would mean
to say it,
I said, “I can’t sleep; because I’m sure
I’ll die and he said,
“You’re not going to die.” yet
I am a thorn in the left cheek of positive
analysis and I said to him,
“Everyone dies, Bryan.”
And you know what?

That response to the therapist made me laugh. Because it isn’t wrong!
It always makes me happy when people acknowledge the built in joke! 💜
truth tellers have to be the thorn! i love this.
absolutely right! Thank you for that reminder.
