Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
Rain on a tin roof always a lovely sound! The rain is pummeling my window at this moment. Great last line.
Yeah I agree
you got the feeling
And
“petrichor rescues” !
Petrichor! Love that word and how you use it! Love the p sounds, each ‘p’ pierces!
Great haiku of sounds piercing the calm.
Brilliant haiku, Nancy. When read aloud, it pierces, punctures, and perforates the air with plosive /p/ speech sounds. Thank you for sharing
Well done!
The sensory details are incredible!
That “p” sound is really putting in the work! Really nice sensory haiku
I love the percussive p piercing soft spears
another new word of the day (petrichor). so now I see how the -ichor (blood of the gods) fits
