night/light
clouds are waves in the book of light
waves are clouds in the book of night
light is night in the clouds of waves
night is light in the waves of clouds
you are clouds in the book of light
i am waves in the book of night
night is light in the book of you
light is night in the book of me
tell me what you see in the book of light
i’ll tell you what i see in the book of night

Echo Sylvia’s creative response.
ANd I love the echo in the poem.
Thank you, Pam, both for echoing Sylvia’s endearing response and the poem’s rhythmic echo. Appreciate your support
I love the experience of this poem. Now I want to know whats in these books!
Thank you for your close reading, Shaun. I enjoyed the experience of writing the poem. Now as to what’s in those books . . .
I see you moving on a wave of clouds
Happy you felt that energy, Gaby
Your language has real movement, like the clouds and the waves. An enjoyable read.
Thank you, Virginia Lee. That means a lot to me
This poem is beautiful and mysterious. Like Shaun, I want to know what else is in those books. Great write!
Pleased the poem resonated with you, H.A. I must have done something right. Let’s see, those books could be ethereal, enigmatic, numinous . . . or even orphic
