Three Ways of Looking at a Black Bear
I.
Cubs scale a mattress
discarded by the dumpster.
Mom dives for dinner.
II.
From a berry bush
comes an unholy growl, turns
my horse on his heel.
III.
Cause of traffic jam:
three cubs monkey, cling and climb
on a roadside tree.

Spectacular, Chelsie! You capture each scene brilliantly. I can see each of these crisp and clear. Beautiful!
Beautiful snapshots! My way of looking at a black bear would be from a great distance!
So good! That middle haiku is truly perfect.
so much motion. love “unholy growl”
nice!!
I love this sensory trio and the line of food that ties these critters therein together
Nice haiku sequence, Chelsie! You bend it to your will.
Great start to the day! I love how the bears monkey.
Love this!
Love these, too. Menacing bear spooking the horse is my favorite bear, after the bears monkey-ing up the tree.
Yikes: “From a berry bush/comes an unholy growl, turns
my horse on his heel.”
Brilliant!
Nicely done ! Kudos Chelsie!
