She does…she does. Another poignant poem. Great write!
Thanks H.A.!
we’re all a bit stubborn about things we love
Indeed
Concise description, spot on! And the line indentation — right left, right — is apt. Much better than left-justified or left, right, left.
Fascinating how it works, eh Mary? I borrowed it from Robert Hass’s translations of the old haiku writers, some of whom used a similar pattern of indented lines in the original Japanese.
Btw this is an overheard haiku and is NOT ABOUT CATHERINE PERKINS. 😏
Ha!ha! I bet she love it. Great haiku.
Indeed think she does but who knows with her?
hahahaha
😁
love it!
Thanks Mike!
Those horse girls … it takes a lot to tear them away.
Diehards, eh Bill?
Horse lovers, yes, but this applies to others of us, too!
It applies to all kinds of things that kick us in the head, eh Nancy?
I like this shortened haiku-esque form you’ve been using this month. Proves yet again that so much can be said with so few words.
Thanks Lee! This form is actually closer to the original haiku masters than the latter day 5/7/5 model, it turns out. Took me years to realize this.
Ahhhh “Kicked in the head” 2-legged, 4-legged….hmm…
Yep
❤️
😉
Intriguing haiku.
Thanks Karen!
