Caesura, 2026
“Take a breath. Make a wish.
Count to three…”
— Gene Wilder
Before every penultimate
comes the turn.
Before each climax
comes the gasp.
We are here
at our moment, before
our moment, before
that life
that follows
that life
we’ve known
So far.
Don’t live there
yet; don’t rush
it into being.
Let yourself:
Feel this.
Know this.
Breathe
deep
the scent
of this
present
perfection.

We tend to look too much into the future…but comes a day when all we’ll be looking at is the final turn, and all we can do is look back. So much to be had in breathing in the present moment. Well done, sir!
Yesss 🙏
Thank you for reading and replying, Eric!
This is the secret
stay in the present
stay present.
Great work this year Joseph.
Thank you, Jim.
Got caught up in life this year.
Too many nights it was the next day by the time I made it to solitude and the laptop.
But. There were moments that needed attention.
Thank you for your reads and replies this year 💙
Oh wow, love this SO much! An arrow flying straight and true- goes deep, brings pause.
Thank you, Leah 🙏🏼
