What a thought – shedding her surname! I wonder why? Is she really a snake?
…becoming herself
It’s so appropriate
that the 1st entry
on the last day is this.
Thanks for them all
🙂
Enjoying this new form you chose! You did it well!
Thanks for riding the train!
Oh, I love this brave woman! Thanks for your American sentences, Pam. Love them!
Thanks, Ellen!
🙂
I love this. The image is both haunting and full of power.
Thank you, Virginia!
I just read all your sentences in one sitting; I wish I had been reading them all along. This is, without a doubt, the best body of work of this year‘s Lexpomo. Bravo!
Thanks, Lee for your kind words! Glad you got on the train!
Pam, you have accomplished a might task! I hope you are ready to talk about them soon! In a week or so, I will be up for a long Zoom!!
Grateful to have made it this far on the train! Looking forward to chatting when you are ready! Safe travels!
I’m reading your American Sentence
and it’s such a powerful statement of loss,
the loss of self.
(Thanks so much for reading mine today!)
Thank you! And reading yours has been a pleasure. I don’t always comment or I fall asleep and think I have! Popeye is one of my favorite of yours!
Gorgeous and densely layered, you’re a master of compression. Enjoyed reading these all month long.
Ahh, thank you Shaun. All the kind comments helped me stay on the train!
Lovely! Lovely idea to carry on this month!
Thank you, Michele!
Pam – the collective of your American Sentence(s) has me awe-struck. I have enjoyed reading your work immensely, and I deeply appreciate you taking the time to read mine!
Thank you for your kind words. Morgan. Thanks for getting on the train. I really enjoyed reading your work!
I’ve really enjoyed your American Sentence series this year!
Thank you. Grateful for the support!
“Shedding her surname” is both powerful and lovely! *chef’s kiss*
🙂
This was brilliantly done and absolutely fantastic!
Thank you!
What an image! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
And this one! (With my previous comment.)
Great work! I see this collection materializing. The “container” of a train as a way to explore character and narrative arc is really smart. Even if it’s metaphoric, it carries well and allows for so much drama and nuance. Good luck with where these take you!
Thank you! Following the train on this one so will see where I land!
I read more of yours…and made a few notes. Truly lovely.
Glad the site stays open so we can read and comment more.
