i LOVE lost inside last year’s hoodie
Okay, this one is fire, Pam!
Yes, the hoodie is perfect, Pam.
Putting a crayon in the teenager’s hand is a beautiful way to reveal the child within, not the adult emerging. Perfect.
Thanks for riding the train, y’all! Your comments are encouraging and bring me great delight! I continue to be surprised each day when I sit on the train and watch the passengers already and newly boarded, settling in and showing a hint of themselves.
What to me is great about this one? No need to say the teen is lonely. The crayon says it all.
I feel so transported to the past with the line “last year’s hoodie.” It makes me think about the relationships we form with our garments, but also how perceptive and attuned the speaker must be to know it was last year’s hoodie and not new.
A lot of images in one sentence.
