Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
“no-cure heart at home” really pleases my ear.
I love when a title is used as a threshold into the poem.
This is a deft brush with very very thick paint on the bristles.
Kind of startling after the title.
I’ve gotta agree with Kevin on this one, there is such contrast between the title and the poem. Definitely not what I was expecting, great write!
thanks! i’m still not sure if the 1st and 3rd line should be switched. i like when haiku can flipflop like that..
I love your “heart” series.
This one is deep- makes me stop and think!
I think the order of your lines
very effective and the visual
aspect of this is gripping
& passionate
‘used as soon as possible’ this line sticks ✨
