Bronze Medal Performance
Poetry is a form of gymnastics
Some want power and speed
Others want gentle grace
Some want the athletes to fly
Like they’re heading to outer space
And there isn’t a right way
To splash words on the page
Just a cluster of opinions
Claims this style’s all the rage

This poem does a strange thing to me where it feels regular and irregular at once. Like, there’s something of a rhyme scheme, but introduced on the third line.
There’s two ‘Some’s but only one ‘Others’ to pair. It’s an effect I really enjoyed. Very well done.
Poetry does feel like a performance of gymnastics. I like the way you captured the difference between styles.
You capture the individualistic beauty of it well!
