but by rest
the late afternoon sun hides
inviting me to as well
reclusiveness sounds delightful
so like the flowers who close nightly
I settle in for a few hour sabbath
celebrating internally, the labors of the day
I allow myself to grow
not by expansion
but by rest

A piece of peacefulness. Very comforting.
An important thing to learn as well go about our lives. There’s nothing wrong with being a homebody or in solitude for a night. Thank you so much for writing this.
This is lovely, it exudes a piece and invitation to rest indeed.

This speaks to me: “so like the flowers who close nightly/I settle in for a few hour sabbath”
Beautiful!
