Catching Dreams in Calendula’s Comfort
content without form, an organizational problem
half a million photons hit my retina from the bronze candelabrum
the smell of calendula ointment on the nightstand for the chrysanthemum bloom in Autumn
I didn’t misplace the feelings, I’d just forgotten
as I awaken hoping my catcher caught them; the reoccurring dreams I have so often

I adore your use of sounds in this poem, particularly ‘forgotten’ going into ‘caught them.’ I find it very fun to read a out loud. Wonderful work, as always!
Beautiful music here, as Philip says.
Wonderful sound poem and alliterative title.
I love the rhythm of this piece especially “I didn’t misplace the feelings, I’d just forgotten/as I awaken hoping my catcher caught them”
Yes love the sounds and alliteration!
The title captured me. Sounds and smells strengthen each line.
