Changing Sheets
I need the change the sheets
Residing on my bed
Problem is, I must weed out
The stuff I use as a spread
Most people find it simple
I’d rather dance a jig
Even finding the sheets at all
Is an archaeological dig
I think it would be cheaper
At least inside my head
Just to throw the bed away
Buy everything new instead

The poem dances like a jig.
This reminds me of an elderly man I worked with. After his wife passed, he hates to wash socks. He said he just bought new packs and after wearing each a time or two, he threw them out. I don’t know if he was serious, but the memory made me smile. Thanks. 🙂
I once knew someone who threw away underwear after
wearing it once! Ah, the money in the world!
Thanks for your comment….Anne
Very tempting!
