Coffee Shop Chronicles, Part 8
Even though it hasn’t been
a church for years,
the building still collects
Bibles. Retired pastors
are devout to its services.
Souls found and lost
take communion with bagels.
Any day feels like
a Sunday with its quiet
spirituality, a peace
that brews like understanding.

This series has been fun and enlightening! Love the last line and using the word “brews” to connect to the place. You really give a good sense of the building.
Nice use of religious language to convey substance and feeling.
Going to church should be like a good cup of coffee – wake you up
I know a place like this, going in the door one feels a benediction wafting with the scent of pizza. Such a good job of showing us your place.
love this combining of worlds
retired pastors devout to its services
