Command Performance
under a sky hearvier
by far than earth
clouds shudder applause
to typmani brass a siren’s
vibrato sostenuto
rain a corps de ballet skittering
across puddles no trace of their
feet only imprints
their choreography
electric as lightning
dazzling & fleet

I like the lively rhythm you create with spacing in this poem, and a key part of music is the space for silence. Nice writing, Brigit.
Thanks Laura! It’s good to get feedback from others!! Indeed, white space is something I enjoy utilizing but never thought about it’s place in music. Thanks for that!!
