Conformity of Grass
I see your yard, perfect and green
Front yard Utopia, not an ugly weed in sight
Plant genocide to the dandelion, clover, and broadleaf
Where you pick and choose what belongs and what doesn’t
Only able to see beauty in the conformity of grass

a lesson with a light touch
🙂
Like the flow of writing and reminds me of my kids that love to pick dandelions from our yard. I like the line “only able to see beauty in the conformity of grass” and suggests the deeper rooted issue in the desire for perceived perfection.
Thank you
Wonderful and important.
Thank you 🙂
sadly, there is no desegregation for the dandelion. but they do supply section 8 vouchers for the neighbors – blocks away – willing to provide for them.
Sad, but true
A lot of heart in this one.
