Dancing And Playing In The Rain.
Drip drop as the rain sprinkles on your face.
You’re dacning the in he rain.
First you spin, then you bow
and then you
tandoo
then you run because you enjoy
the rain on your face
then you hear the dinner bell .
You say bye to the rain and dry off.
You say to your mom I can’t wait until it rains again.

Rainstorms are the best!
I wish everyone remembered to say bye to the rain before they dryed off.
Love this, Abra. Great job! Keep writing.
Abra, this reminded me of when I was young and would play in the rain.
I, too, was enjoying some rain the other day, but I was touched when someone offered to share their umbrella. So I wrote:
sweeter than a soaking rain
a stranger’s offer
of an umbrella
One of my favorite things to do when I was kid. Eating Watermelon with my friends and spitting seeds at each other in the pouring rain. My parents favorite thing too. All they had to do was dry me off and put me to bed. Nature gave me a bath on those evenings.
I think I haven’t danced in the rain for a few months, Abra. And by dancing, I really mean happy jumping up and down.
Next time it rains, I’ll make an effort to think of you and dance in the rain. And to call my mom and tell her I can’t wait til it rains again.
It’s almost a Wednesday and I was wondering if you could soon write a poem for all of us about some of the things that give you a Wednesday feeling. For example, are there places you visit or activities you enjoy on Wednesdays?
Thanks! Keep writing! Your poems inspire us.
Thank you for letting me type this poem for you while you were eating breakfast so I could be on time for work! I was really proud that you knew where you wanted to put the line breaks and didn’t give in to my suggestion for the second to last stanza break. I apologize for the typos! We were in a rush! 🙂
Abra, It is a lovely poem that makes me wish that I could join you, to dance in the rain. I admit I forget to say goodbye to the rain all the time. Thank you for doing that.
Abra I love this poem so much! Would you mind if I shared it on my Berea Outdoor Adventure page?
The eagerness to greet and dance in the rain makes my heart happy! What a lovely poem!
Reading this, I feel like I’m there. Cool!
