Coastal Newfoundland at Dawn
Here comes, in rosy rungs,
ascents of the day
from east over small waves
broken on the bay rock shapes.
Sun corona fingers
find day, rock by rock
and feel down for corals.
Out there humpbacks
rise to their footprints,
the sun a sweet tickle
cows teach their calves
to play in.

Beautiful capture of a moment! I love “the sun a sweet tickle . . .”
I agree with Nancy, beautiful came to mind. You made the dawn come alive.
What a beautiful dawning you draw!
