Daylilies
Bright orange trumpets line Grandmother Nettie’s driveway
For as far as I can see a sea of orange waves beckons me
Their greeting is friendly and welcoming
I can’t wait to see my grandmother
A prelude to what’s to come
Her loving smile
Open arms
Warm hug
Loving
Kiss

This is so sweet!
Very nice. I love the welcoming nature of the flowers – their attraction the color, the beauty!
The form added to the beauty of this poem.
I can see the sea of orange welcoming you to Grandmother Nettie’s driveway and embrace.
Beautiful.
