Preening like a dove In the palms of God

Peering into your vastness, I can’t let but feel awed
All encompassing, it’s like an embrace
So desperate to comprehend your divine face

My brain twists as I try to count the stars
That freckle your skin, like galaxies from afar
Slipping my fingers into you hair to feel the threads of fate
That frame you face, my desires won’t abate

God please, my god my brain is melting
My mind can’t understand, it’s all so overwhelming
Cradled in your palms, Something so insignificant and small
Why do I always feel like I’m about to fall
