Fairytales of tomorrow
I dream to write,
like the other poets do.
Where I paint beautiful landscapes,
and colorful sceneries,
of someone else’s stories.
I wish I could create,
fictional characters,
and magic wonders.
Far away from reality.
I keep leaving pieces of my heart,
in every word I wrote.
Hoping people will understand.
I made it all up.

Hmmm, I was going to write something completely different until I reached the last line. Now, I’m wondering if you fooled me. Congrats, you have me thinking about this poem.
Haha thank you! Glad it made you think about it and wonder.
Love this: “I keep leaving pieces of my heart,/in every word I wrote.”
Thank you!!
I love this! From title to surprise end! (Speaking from someone who often “made it all up” myself. There’s a “why” in there. . . .)
You are absolutely right!
Wonderful!
Thank you so much!
Love this!
Thank you!
four yesterdays from now…
Not sure I’m getting what you’re referring to.
“I made it all up” had me losing it completely!
Hahah I love that line, it’s my favorite. I just love how people see what I did with it.
For the record, it was idyllic, peaceful, serene – almost the stuff of a greeting card – then PUNK ROCK.
I love you.
I always gotta do punk rock!!
