Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
Wise, tender, addresses nature of existence. Have “courage and strength” to “survive the storms” by acknowledging the darkness and light within our “fledgling” selves and all beings (“little bird”). In rhythmic and tone, Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” comes to mind. Thank you for sharing, Jess. With gratitude
How sweet
Thank you Rachel, this one’s about my nephew whom I had just met.
Tender comments wrap around a little one as warm eyes connect heart to heart lovely Jess, so very caring.

Ah Larry, thanks for reading. This one is about my nephew whom I had just met… I certainly wanted to bless his path.
May we all “survive the storms/May your heart be steadfast/May you go forward/To know love and joy”
Many thanks Pam, hope to catch you all next year.
This poem breaks my heart in all the best ways.
Jess, you’ve explained that near-heartbreak we elders feel when looking at our little birds
