Funeral Procession
an old man stops his tractor in the field
leaves his plow work unfinished
to pause and
consecrate the line of cars
resting his hat against his chest
he silently blesses the mourners
the busy road becomes sacred ground

Lovely! I noticed when I moved to KY that stopping for a funeral passing was the thing to do. Up north it wasn’t. It’s a nice gesture, and you show it well.
Beautiful!
A simple moment captured beautifully—well done!
A vivid scene with so few words. And one of my favorite Kentucky traditions.
I love this.
