Gaslight as a Public Utility
Please lie to me.
Just leave me in peace.
Choke the flames of the gas lamp.
Sputter the flickering truth.
Bathe me in a pale blue of deceit.
Insist I keep my eyes open.
Light the darkness without me.
I see just fine from here.
