Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
Love it! And it’s wonderful to have the photo! I have had similar encounters with a groundhog in my own back yard, though perhaps with less deference between us.

So cool. It’s better than a standoff with a skunk though.
Groundhogs are poems. This is fun and true.
We all need a “contemplative standoff” in our life. Great!
I appreciate this poem and the true with the charming guy as its denouement
Love it, and thanks for the pic!
Woman vs. groundhog! Another gem, Gaby!
Yikes! Nice moment.
lol, 2 poems here in haiku and photograph!
Gaby, I’m loving these poems with accompanying photos. What a great way to practice two creative crafts together. <3
Love that “complicated standoff” with a wild creature!
