This is striking. I love the rhyme scheme and the rhythm, and while the title and the first stanzas nicely elude to a shift at the end, it still hits hard. Well done.
Well crafted
The last line…wow
Illustrates so vividly how one choice or condition can disrupt the whole shebang
I love this poem for a multitude of reasons. The subject and the concept are fantastic! The craft is masterful. The last line is EVERYTHING! This is one of my favorite writes of the month so far. Great poem!
Ugh’ 💔
So good, Arwen, for so many reasons.
Shew–I love the form here and agree with the comments above–that last line is striking.
