How To Get Back What You Have Lost
Go in to a room that’s quiet
close your eyes and focus
on that thing that you lost.
Grab something in that room
that’s like the thing you’re thinking about.
Squeeze it tight and don’t
let go until you feel like
you got the thing
that you lost back.

Loss can be such a tough thing to accept. Sometimes it takes all of us just to get through such times. This is a Good poem to remember when hardships come.
Great job! You are a wonderful poet!

Awesome such an intelligent young lady just like her daddy.
I read this lovely poem aloud to my daughter, and we both think this poem is awesome. Thank you!
Congratulations to the youngest LexPoMo poet – important words from a young heart.
Thank you for finding the right words to help me not have a screaming fit when I lose something. It takes a poet to see solutions where other people only complain about problems. You are a poet.
love your poem 🙂 it is always frustrating for me to lose something.
Great poem! Thanks!
Wow!
Oh my
Abra, you’ve really written something powerful here. It was your first poem you wrote, and it came to you quickly. I hope you trust that instinct you followed for the rest of your life, it lead you to something real.
You have taken my breath away with your poem. I love the universality of your poem in that the reader may decide what “thing” they’ve lost and what “thing” they need to grab. This poem is magnificent!
Holy cow! I love it!
