Hail broke against glass.
Whirlstorm of leaves in the rain,
then the shock of light.

Whirlstorm is such a great and apt word, Shaun. Love the shock of light at the end, that’s exactly how those storms feel.
Nicely done. I started out writing about the storm, but my poem went somewhere else.
Love this. Thank you.
Very nice! The shock of light really adds to the drama.
wow–it captures the rush of nature.
“whirlstorm of leaves in the rain” came at me with no warning–a great haiku!
I’m impressed how much you managed to capture in a haiku! Each words adds a lot; I especially loved “whirlstorm” and “shock of light.”
Whirlstorm O love this!
