Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
this is just to say I love how much unfolds from the image of “folding back loam”
Thanks. I kept throwing words out all over the page, and when I had those three I knew I had at least the start of a poem!
Anytime the word “loam” shows up in a poem, I’m down for it!!
Thanks Liz! I’m attracted to underused words. 🙂
I love a small meditative poem that leaves a lot of space for thinking, musing and imagining!
wow, love the way you mix words:
where, folding back loam
we bury pain
unearth pleasure
snip roots away
