Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
“words I’d not penned but thought”—I love this line, as it encapsulates the challenge and joy of Lexpomo! It’s been a pleasure reading your poetry this month, and I appreciate every comment you left on my own poems. It is an honor to be in such a talented writer’s midst. I hope this coming year gifts you inspiration and success, and I look forward to reading your work next June!
I like “ripped out”
Thank you so much!
Love it 🙂
Yup , now we can breathe for 11 months lol….really enjoyed your writing this month.
Haha, yes. Thank you for your comments — I enjoyed everything I read of yours as well!
*I just realized that the “by” is in the wrong line — it’s supposed to be
“each blooming June, supplanted by
some breath!”
so that it follows the conventions of a cinquain and acrostic. That’s my bad!
