Leaving the Garden
So this I guess is where it ends,
this month together planting seeds.
Too little time with you, my friends,
to tend this garden pulling weeds.
Till next year then, the first of June,
I hope you’ll let the stanzas flow.
It won’t be long but very soon
until we make our garden grow.

Goodbye for now, dear poet. Lovely rhymes.
Goodbye, my dear. It’s been lovely.
Thanks Kevin.
I’m going to try to catch the radio show. Is it archived?
I’ve really enjoyed (and learned from) your poems and comments.
What beautiful imagery for this time! I’ve really enjoyed reading your work and comments Kevin, thank you.
💙💙. Have appreciated your poems and comments, as usual, sir!
Delightful. Thanks for the words! They’ve been so enjoyable to read.
love your choice of form, echoing perhaps Robert Louis Stevenson’s A Child’s Garden of Verses
Wonderful compliment, Gaby! Yes, Stevenson, and maybe a little Hardy.
Sweet poem, Kevin. Thank you!
I’m the lucky one that doesn’t have to say goodby to the poet but to June, oh yes, dear June. Only to say a happy hello to July, my birthday month, will I give you up. A good one Kevin Nance, as they all were. You are amazing.
Sweet, Kevin…a lovely ending to the month.
Thanks for your poetry and your generosity in comments for my work!
All the best!
This has such a biblical ring to it. I feel like we are all leaving paradise behind! I’m glad I got to meet you this year and so enjoyed reading your work.
Kevin, I am so impressed that you actually wrote a poem a day this month! Such commitment! You created a garden of beautiful words for all of us to wander through each day. Thank you.
Until next year!
Such a wonderful farewell! See you next June!
